Certificate in Public Health Communication, Senghor University, June 2026 (in French) ·

I offer university courses and training sessions tailored to the audience and to the time available. They all share the same features: a combination of theoretical framework and case studies, a rigorous, multidisciplinary approach, and the presentation of communication strategies and awareness-raising tools produced in various countries. A socio-anthropologist and a health psychologist take part in training courses lasting more than a week.

    Teaching approach

Participants are invited to think through the theory of public health communication and are introduced to the basics of socio-anthropology and health psychology. The modules are built around national and international communication challenges (Ebola, Covid-19, breastfeeding, cholera, polio eradication, vaccination...), with excerpts from video interviews that place the population's representations at the center of each session.

All sessions are interactive, and some are devoted to group work.

Each participant receives a copy of La communication en santé publique, which serves as a resource throughout the sessions. Reading is assigned outside session hours.

      Audience

The length, content and teaching approach of each course are adapted to the participants, who may therefore be very varied: community health workers, NGO volunteers and staff, journalists, ministry of health officials, medical staff, students, communication officers, humanitarian program directors, and so on.

All courses and training are delivered in person, in any country.
